FAQs

Q
How does GreensTone Electronics handle part cross-referencing or replacements on turnkey PCB assembly orders?
A

After inspecting your Bill of Material, we transmit to the customer the parts we currently have in stock, which are usually low cost or free components. Our procurement team will give you suggestions regarding how to obtain cost savings in sourcing cross-referenced parts. This service is only advisory. The customer always makes the final decision.

Q
For turnkey assembly orders, what is the process by which GreensTone Electronics procures components?
A

If we do not have inventory in stock, we order parts in volume per your Bill of Materials (BOM) so you obtain the highest level of cost savings. For hard-to-find or rarely used parts, we typically add 5% as spare parts to insure we have enough parts to manufacture your complete order. For order minimums, we contact the customer for approvals.
